Move-In Day Traffic Advisory Issued for August 27

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Police have issued a traffic advisory on Camden Avenue between College Avenue and Pine Bluff Road from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, August 27, as some 1,200 new students and their parents come to campus for Move-In Day.

University faculty and staff normally parking in the Blackwell Library and Devilbiss Hall lots are asked to park in the Parking Garage or the Rt. 13, Scarborough Leadership Center or Guerrieri University Center lots that morning. At the Camden and College avenues intersection, all southbound traffic will be detoured to Rt. 13. Those wishing to enter Devilbiss and Blackwell Library parking lots on campus should turn from Rt. 13 onto Dogwood Drive. Traffic will be directed northbound to those lots from the Dogwood Drive and Camden Avenue intersection.

Non-University northbound traffic on Camden Avenue from the Fruitland/Eden areas that morning also will be detoured onto Rt. 13 at the Dogwood Drive and Camden Avenue intersection. To save time northbound traffic may want to detour onto Rt. 13 one intersection sooner, at Pine Bluff Road, or use Riverside Drive until the detour ends at 2 p.m. Traffic should be flowing normally by early afternoon.
