Margaret Johnson Elmore Nursing Scholarship

SALISBURY, MD--  Amber Bowers of Onley, VA, has been selected as the recipient of the Margaret Johnson Elmore Nursing Scholarship for the 2002-2003 academic year at Salisbury University.

Bowers is to be a graduate of Broadwater Academy and carries a 3.34 GPA. She will be pursuing the undergraduate nursing major next year at Salisbury University's traditional BSN program.

Amber was chosen based on the belief that she possesses the exceptional qualifications, aptitude and potential for an outstanding career in nursing. The award should greatly assist her in achieving this goal and serving her community in this important capacity," said

This scholarship was established by Page Elmore in memory of his mother and has been is existence since 1993. It is awarded each year to nursing majors form the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Up to $3,000 a year for up to four years is available for incoming freshmen who meet the academic and residential criteria.
