Islam Brown Bag Discussion With Author Sultan November 17

class=""MsoNormal"">Author Sohaib Sultan highlights that idea during his brown bag discussion, “The Importance of Arabic in Islam,” 1 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in the Social Room of Holloway Hall at Salisbury University.

class=""MsoNormal"">The event is part of SU’s Year of Languages Fall Cultural Events Series and second annual Building Bridges: Islam Awareness Week. Light refreshments will be served.

class=""MsoNormal"">Sultan, author of The Koran for Dummies, is the first to hold the Islamic Chaplain post at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He has provided Islamic affairs analysis for the BBC and is pursuing a graduate degree in Islamic studies and Christian-Muslim relations. He also speaks on “Understanding the Qur’an” 6:30-8 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.
