Eberts Earns CRA Designation

SALISBURY, MD---Jacqueline Eberts, director of fiscal grants management at Salisbury University recently earned the designation of Certified Research Administrator (CRA) by the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC). The title, valid for five years, confirms Eberts’ expertise at all levels of grant and sponsored research in professional development and administration, legal requirements and sponsored program interface, and financial and general management. Eberts traveled to Salt Lake City in October to test for certification at the University of Utah prior to attending the annual Sponsored Research Administrators Conference. Eberts, who received her bachelor’s in business administration from SU, has worked in financial grant management at the University since 1990. She is one of approximately 550 CRAs nationwide and only the third in the University System of Maryland. The RACC, formed in 1993 by the Society of Research Administrators, is an independent non-profit organization composed of volunteers who are committed to improving the profession.
