Cavallaro Cleary Art Sale Supports SU, Local Scholarships

SALISBURY, MD---More than 100 artists exhibit works for sale to benefit the Salisbury University Art Department and local art scholarships during an arts and crafts sale sponsored by the Cavallaro Cleary Visual Foundation (CCART) Tuesday-Sunday, November 18-23,at the Cleary Gallery & Studio, 118-B N. Division St.

The sale opens from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, and continues 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, November 19-22, concluding Sunday, November 23, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Items include paintings, pottery, jewelry and glass such as the works of glassblower and SU alumnus Paul Smartwood.

Door prizes are available and a silent auction continues throughout. An ongoing exhibit displays the work of Kent English, Don Harter, David Jones and Julie Wolter. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.

Founded in 2000, CCART has provided scholarships to 16 visual arts students from nine counties in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia as well as grants benefiting the SU Art Department Scholarship and Awards Fund, Cavallaro said.
