CPD Program Offers Training on ADD Saturday, March 6

SALISBURY, MD---The Center for Professional Development at Salisbury University offers a course on Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, in the Montgomery Room of the Commons. The course features Dr. Marla Sanzone, assistant psychology professor at Loyola College and a licensed psychologist in private practice in Annapolis. Specializing in ADD, eating and mood disorders, and the anxiety spectrum, she is past president of the Maryland Psychological Association and chair of the Board of Professional Affairs, working with state representatives and examination boards on mental health legislation. She is also program chair of the American Psychological Association. Issues covered in the course are the core symptoms and diagnostic criteria for various attention deficit-related disorders; controversies surrounding diagnosis and treatment; when and why it is important to integrate parents, family and others in managing symptoms; and treatment options.
