Art Faculty ShowcaseWorks in Third Annual Show

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Art Department faculty showcase their recent work in the exhibit “From the Artist’s Hand III” September 1-23, in the University Gallery at Fulton Hall. An opening reception is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 1.

class=""MsoNormal"">The exhibit features the artistic achievements of 15 full and part-time faculty members from the Art Department.  An inspiring mix of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mixed media and digital prints will be on display. Special emphasis is given to modernist trends and the integration of contemporary ideas with traditional and non-traditional media.

class=""MsoNormal"">“This annual exhibition provides a glance at the aesthetic and philosophical aspect of art programs and demonstrates an assortment of concepts and methods currently characteristic of the contemporary art world,” said Jinchul Kim.

class=""MsoNormal"">Gary Brotman and Kim of the Art Department curate the show.

class=""MsoNormal"">Included are works from Kim, Carl Goldhagen, Clytie Taylor, Eric Schneider, Edward Brown, Brotman, James Hill, Jeanne Anderton, Marie Cavallaro, Pamela Olszewski, Marjorie Hill, Nicole Schneider, Sally Molenda, Paul Flexner and Brooke Rogers.

class=""MsoNormal"">The University Gallery is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday after Labor Day weekend. Sponsored by the Art Department, the exhibit and opening reception are free and the public is cordially invited.
