Accordionist Petar Maric Returns to SU Saturday, September 13

Petar MaricSALISBURY, MD---One of the world’s most acclaimed young accordion artists, Petar Maric, returns to Salisbury University 7 p.m. Saturday, September 13, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

Born in 1990 in Serbia, he is the only musician to earn the World Trophy Accordion Championship in all four divisions: classical, folk, variety and techno.

Mari studied at Belgrade State Music Conservatory Vuckovic before continuing his training in France. He has performed throughout Europe and parts of Asia, winning international competitions in Germany and Italy. He also has received the Belgrade Ministry of Culture’s prestigious “Belgrade Angel” award for his contribution to cultural life.
