'We Were Here' Screening at SU

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts a screening of the 2011 documentary We Were Here 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in Devilbiss Hall Room 123.

The film chronicles the HIV/AIDS epidemic and its longstanding effect on the LGBTQ+ community. Information about steps to prevent the spread of HIV and the history of medical advances surrounding the disease will be available. Organizers hope the event helps build a healthy dialogue about HIV awareness and the importance of preventative medication such as PrEP.

Sponsored by PrEP and SU’s Sexuality and Gender Awareness student organization (SAGA), LGBTQ Alliance and Office of Institutional Equity, admission is free and the public is invited. Refreshments will be provided.
