VITA Offers Free Income Tax Assistance Through April 14

SALISBURY, MD--Is filling out your tax returns giving you a headache? A cure is available for free. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program has existed for more than 20 years and has prepared over a million tax returns.

If you are a senior citizen, handicapped, or on a limited income, or are simply in need of help, there are trained volunteers from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury State University who can help now through April 14. These accounting students are ready to provide assistance in preparing both state and federal returns, free of charge.

Volunteers will be available at the IRS Office, 212 West Main Street, Salisbury, MD, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-noon; and Blackwell Library on the SSU campus, Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
