Beginning Sept. 24 Perdue Center Offers 1998 Supervisory Training Series

SALISBURY, MD--The fall 1998 Supervisory Training Series begins Thursday, September 24, at Salisbury State University. A weekly series directed at supervisory and first level managerial employees and supervisors, the workshop topics include organizational design, understanding human behavior, motivating employees, basics of leadership, designing work flow and standards, communications skills, basic planning strategies and team building.

In each of the modules, key principles, theories and techniques are addressed. Exercises, team activities, role playing and problem solving models are used to develop skills in applying the material to the work place.

The Perdue Center for Professional Development is an outreach program of the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury State. The Supervisory Training Series is co-sponsored by the Lower Shore Manufacturing Network and the Small Business Development Center at Salisbury State.

All sessions are 8-11 a.m. and include light refreshments. The cost for this series is $85 per person or $600 for all eight sessions. The cost for companies enrolling three or more employees is $550 per session.
