Careers in Technology High School Program Scheduled November 24

SALISBURY, MD--Students and parents became more aware of the high-tech manufacturing opportunities that are available on the Eastern Shore at a recent meeting held by the Lower Shore Manufacturing Network in conjunction with Parkside Career and Technology Center.

Both students and parents were able to talk with representatives from manufacturing companies regarding the types of positions available, and the hours, salaries and benefits that are offered. The manufacturing panel included Chuck Floyd, Filtronic Comtek; Rob Harris, Harvard Custom Manufacturing; and Tom Crawford, MaTech. Students and parents attended sessions on computer aided drafting and design, electronics, data processing and high performance manufacturing, and spoke with guidance counselors.

The next technology meeting is on Tuesday, November 24, at 6:30 p.m. If already signed up and unable to attend please call so that other interested parents and students can attend. To register call Lori Morgan in Student Career Development at 410-677-5003.
