Dance Company Recieves MD State Arts Council Grant

SALISBURY, MD--The Maryland State Arts Council recently awarded the Salisbury State University Dance Company a grant of $600 to develop and produce the fall showcase and spring concert.

The professionally-adjudicated fall showcase features student-created works; with the winning works being showcased in the spring concert along with faculty and guest artists.

Under the direction of artistic dance director, Dr. Victoria Hutchinson, the Dance Company presents workshops, master-classes and lecture demonstrations on campus and for community adults. The Dance Company, open to both students and community residents, works to create a local awareness of dance, stimulate the interest in dance and encourage participation and performance in various forms and styles of dance.
