Women's Business Conference April 8-9

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Center for Professional Development and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) present the women’s business conference “Maximizing Life’s Options” Friday-Saturday, April 8-9.

Keynote presenters include:

Barbara Bahny, communications director of Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C., who speaks on her role in corporate communications;

James Giles, Morgan Stanley financial advisor, who speaks on the book Smart Women Finish Rich; and

Marianne Frederick, a business speaker and humorist from South Carolina who travels nationwide to share key business concepts through humor.

"The steering committee structured the conference to maximize time for working women," said Carol Brady, program coordinator for the Center for Professional Development. "Given that the conference is about maximizing life's options, which leads to work-life balance, it's appropriate that the conference minimizes time away from both work and family.”

The conference starts at 12:30 p.m. on Friday and concludes at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Cost is $75 by Thursday, March 10, $95 by Thursday, March 31. The fee includes speaker sessions, choice of workshops in two tracks, a business women's panel, exhibits and a networking session.
