Students admitted into the Clarke Honors College have a choice between four honors programs: the Thomas E. Bellavance Honors Program, Business Honors Program, the College of Health and Human Services Honors Program, and Richard Henson Honors Program in Science and Mathematics.

Thomas E. Bellavance Honors Program

The Thomas E. Bellavance Honors Program is designed to bring together high-achieving students and dedicated faculty in a close-knit environment. It offers motivated students who are serious about their intellectual growth a variety of special enhanced classes and fosters relationships between talented students and faculty from across campus. Honors courses and extracurricular activities are intended to enrich and complement other educational opportunities and programs available to SU students.

Business Honors Program

The Business Honors Program provides greater networking and mentorship opportunities, specialized global programs, enhanced entrepreneurship experiences and enriched courses for students in majors within the Perdue School of Business. Business Honors students have an opportunity to accelerate their personal and professional development with meaningful access to local community leaders.

College of Health and Human Services Honors Program

The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) Honors Program offers a variety of enhanced courses to satisfy the interests of honors students in the areas of health and human services professions, including majors/programs in the School of Health Sciences (exercise science, fitness and wellness, health and human performance, health science, medical laboratory science, public health, respiratory therapy), School of Nursing and School of Social Work. Students enrolled in the CHHS Honors Program have the flexibility to complete their honors and major’s program requirements simultaneously while also engaging in meaningful interdisciplinary coursework. Enhanced courses are available to students admitted to any CHHS program with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Richard A. Henson Honors Program in Science and Mathematics

The Richard A. Henson Honors Program in Science and Mathematics provides admitted students with enriched math and science courses with emphasis on critical thinking, enhanced undergraduate research experiences and unique opportunities to engage in career-advancing activities. The program provides students in majors within the Henson School of Science with the flexibility to complete their major’s program requirements in a timely manner.
