Sophanes Presents 'Best Christmas Pageant Ever' Dec. 1-3

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Sophanes Theater Club presents The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Thursday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in the Black Box Theater of Fulton Hall.  This humorous Christmas story continues Friday, December 2, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, at noon.  The performance is suitable for all ages. 

class=""MsoNormal"">Written by Barbara Robinson and co-directed by theater majors Melissa Laur and Steve Drapalski, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is the story of a mother nagged into directing the local Christmas pageant at her church where she finds the mean and dirty Herdman children bullying other kids out of the lead roles.  The little devils learn the true meaning of Christmas through humor.

class=""MsoNormal"">“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is an opportunity for children in the surrounding communities to be exposed to the theatre,” said Drapalski.  “The theatre is a great way to expand a child's creativity and openness to new and exciting experiences.”

class=""MsoNormal"">Performers include Brian Kuhn, Alicia Canzanese, Megan Davis, Aleksandr Felikson, Zachary Coffman, Kelly Reiter, Donald Paul, Matt Sheils, B.J. Hoyle, Thomasine Dolan, Brooke Shoemaker, Sierra Morgan, Emily Jablonski, Shannon Tegeler, Courtney Taylor, Lauren Broderick, Katie Walsh, Leisel Booker, Sunny Kim, Leah Loch, Brecken Meyer and Rachel Grap.

class=""MsoNormal"">Stage manager is Adam Henry, lighting design is by Karen Muller, set and props design by Heather Hall, costume design by Erika Hajianitoni and Megan Davis, and sound design by Derek Lingle.
