The library is more
than the sum of its resources. It is a place to study, view art, refine the art
of research, collaborate,
borrow a laptop, use technology meaningfully, get online research assistance,
create a display, work on a project, get a book to read, and meet friends.
Outside of the classroom, it is Salisbury University's academic commons: a
center for learning, discovery and interaction.
The library supports each
student (freshman through graduate,
commuter and resident) and every academic program. Librarians are research
advisers in online classes and in living/learning communities, academic
advisers, contributors to faculty research, and central to academic
initiatives: diversity, freshman seminars, learning goals, and undergraduate
research.
