Software Discounts (MEEC)
Kivuto Solutions offers Salisbury University faculty, staff and students discounted software on Microsoft, Adobe and other software to purchase and download onto personal computers. Kivuto solutions is able to offer through the Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) agreement.
To purchase your discounted software, log in at SU's Kivuto Solutions Logon Portal with your SU username and password, which verifies to Kivuto Solutions that you are an active faculty, staff or student. Once logged in, you will be able to view and purchase available software, as well as receive help or check on previous orders.
Help and Assistance with Purchases and Downloads
For assistance with purchases, downloads,
installation and licenses for products purchased through
Kivuto Solutions, log into their site and click the Help
button next to the Shopping Cart in the upper right hand
corner of the page.
The Help Page will display a list of common problems. If that does not solve your issue, scroll to the bottom of the Help Page and click the Contact Us link to contact Kivuto Solutions for assistance.
For information about previous orders, click Your Account/Orders next to the Shopping Cart in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Note: If you are looking for your Product Key, it is included in your Order Details. In Your Account/Orders, click View Details under the order entry for the product you need a product key for. You have limited access to keys and downloads from date of purchase.

eligible to purchase a product by clicking the Are you
eligible? link on the product description page on the
Solutions site, below the Add to Cart link, as shown
in the example below.
Only current active students, faculty and staff are eligible for software discounts. Alumni and emeriti are not eligible to purchase discounted software. Applicants and accepted students will not be eligible to purchase discounted software until their accounts have been activated, which usually occurs somewhere between orientation and the start of their first semester.

You can also find educational discounts on computers and hardware through many online vendors and manufacturers. The University Bookstore also offers a discount on Dell Computers through our MEEC agreement.
University Bookstore Dell Computer Discount
The University Bookstore offers a 10% - 30% Dell discount to current faculty, staff and students through the MEEC Agreement. Visit the Salisbury University Dell Store and click on the Dell logo in order to get to the Salisbury University shopping area. You must use your current SU username and password to login.
Apple Online Education Store Discount
Apple offers an educational discount on computers, software, hardware and accessories at the Apple Store for Education.

Software Downloads for Home Use
Some products licensed by Salisbury University include a license for installation on personal computers for home use. If you need these items installed on an SU-owned computer, please install through the Application Catalog or call the IT Help Desk at 410-677-5454. These products are listed below, and are subject to change without prior notice.
MiniTab Individual for Home Use - Windows Users
Students, faculty and staff who wish to use Minitab on their Microsoft Windows personal computers may do so by clicking the link below to download and install the file. You will be prompted to log in, and once downloaded, you will need to extract the files (unzip) and then run setup.exe and follow the prompts to install.
MiniTab Express for Home Use - Mac Users
Students, faculty and staff who wish to use Minitab on their Macintosh personal computers may do so by right-clicking the link below and choosing Save Linked File As... You will be prompted to log in, and once downloaded, you will need to extract the zip file. Once extracted, open the installer (pkg) and follow the prompts to install.
You may get a message that the file cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, depending on your Mac App Store settings.
- If that's the case, go into your Security & Privacy settings and in the General tab and choose Open Anyway.
- If that doesn't work, unlock the security
settings and choose to Allow apps downloaded from
- After installing, reset your security settings back to Mac App Store and identified developers.
Mathematica for Students - Home Use

Mathematica for Faculty - Home Use
To install your faculty copy of Mathematica on your personal computer for home use:
- Visit http://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo/homeuse/
- Request a new home-use license by registering with a Salisbury University email address
- Entering the activation code L3191-167
- Following the instructions on the site.
