The Department of Environmental Safety is responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and occupational safety programs for Salisbury University's campus.

Environmental Safety Programs include, but are not limited to: infectious and chemical waste management, accidental release of hazardous materials (response and cleanup), lead-based paint management, emergency response planning, and underground / aboveground storage tank management.

Occupational Safety includes, but is not limited to: asbestos management, biological and laboratory safety, indoor air quality, fire prevention, training programs, accident / injury prevention, industrial hygiene and chemical safety.
