The McCoys create works that question how meaning is established and how cultural memories are formed. Their collaborative practice occupies many terrains: exhaustive categorization, recreation and reenactment, automation, miniaturization, and most recently remote viewing and speculative modeling. Ranging from installation and software forms to curatorial practice, their art
often uses technology to produce live effects and experiences. At SU, the McCoys marry these live effects with an investigation of real spaces. The McCoys’ work has been exhibited nationally at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, P.S.1, Postmasters Gallery, The Museum of Modern Art,
The New Museum and Internationally in exhibitions including projects at the Pompidou Center, the British Film Institute, ZKM, the Hanover Kunstverein, the Bonn Kunstverein and F.A.C.T. (Liverpool, UK). (www.mccoyspace.com)
