  • EXSC 300-003 HEALTH-FITNESS PROG & PROF
    Introduction to the exercise science discipline including certification and licensure, organizations and employment opportunities. Examines the health-fitness specialist's role in facility administration and program management, including health promotion programming, marketing, equipment maintenance, facility design, and legal implications of documented safety procedures. Prerequisite: PHEC 106. Four hours per week.
  • EXSC 333-020 KINESIOLOGY
    Examination of the structure and function of the human body and the mechanical principles affecting its movement. Reveiw of the musculoskeletal system followed by an in-depth study of how human movement occurs. Presentation of nomenclature of the body planes, axes and movement. May not receive credit for both PHEC 333 and PHEC 433. Major Prerequisite: BIOL 215. Non-Major Prerequisite: BIOL 205. Five hours per week.
