SOWK 300-380 HUM BEHAVIOR SOCIAL ENVIRO I Examines the individual, family, and peer group in the context of social systems using a bio-psycho-social-cultural-spiritual perspective. Explores human development through the lifespan. Presents theories which explain human behavior and inform social work practices. Focuses on privilege, oppression, prejudice, and discrimination. Develops foundation assessment skills. Prerequisites: SOWK 200, BIOL 101 or 215 or 216, SOCI 101, PSYC 101, or permission of instructor. Three hours per week.
