Bell Nursery filling 20 seasonal positions at its flower farm in Marydel, Md. — Bell Nursery is now accepting applications to fill 20 seasonal positions at its growing operations in Marydel, located on Maryland’s Eastern shore. Greenhouse and outdoor production staff are responsible for planting and growing annuals, perennials and roses for sale at Bell-served Home Depot garden centers. Bell is also seeking a full time assistant nursery manager. "Working on the farm is hard work, but it’s rewarding and tremendous fun,” said Tony Lhotsky, Bell’s farm manager. “It’s a great opportunity for someone entering or getting back into the job market, who enjoys working outdoors. For me, it’s the dream job!”
The farm season slows down late summer, depending on the weather. Both part time and full time positions are available. It is a short, albeit demanding season, and standout seasonal employees may be retained and converted into permanent employees.
