Job Description:  Seeking highly personable, capable, mature male (aged 25-35) to serve as a social interaction manager for an intelligent, principled, witty 31 year-old man recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury. Job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): participation and leadership development in Phi Theta Kappa and academic and social activities; development, support and participation in a personalized physical fitness program (including swimming) at the YMCA and bowling twice a month; development, support and participation in various age-appropriate social activities such as community events and interactions such as volunteering (membership in Lions Club), college activities, sports events, book clubs/discussion groups, historical and/or cultural events, young adult Christian group, and other personal interest pursuits. Successful candidate will plan, manage and participate in activities that promote appropriate community-minded, social interactions with same and opposite sex peers. Plan, support, and encourage personal interaction with family members to maintain responsibility and accountability for household (personal) maintenance. (Primary responsibilities include yard, garage, and attic maintenance and personal space maintenance.) Work closely with other support staff to ensure a quality life for the participant. Requirements: At least a Bachelorʼs Degree (preferably in one of the social sciences or education) or comparable life experience. Willingness to participate in activities as a peer as well as a mentor. Personal integrity and good moral character; good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and impart information skillfully and tactfully. Current driverʼs license, good driving record, and car. Successful completion of CPR/First Aid certification (at employerʼs expense). Attendance at quarterly staff meetings. Availability to work evenings during the week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and one Saturday afternoon (2-6:30) and one Saturday night ( 6:30-11) per month.

Pay:  $18/hour for 11+ hours per week; paid vacation; $25 for attendance at quarterly staff meeting (First Tuesdays of Sept., Jan. Mar., and June at 6PM); $.485 per mile for approved transportation costs
