Duties: Under the direction of the Recreation Program Director, the Program Instructor is responsible for providing a safe, stable, and structured after-school environment for school age at-risk youth (K-12) by implementing programs, creating and maintaining relationships with community groups, developing and promoting public awareness, taking inventory, and organizing and implementing special events. Duties include but are not limited to the implementation of activities, organizing weekly themes, assisting in homework help, and organizing and scheduling guest speakers
Requirements (Include but Not Limited To): Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed | Ability to self-manage and motivate | Knowledge of sports, high and low active-organized games, and arts & crafts
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in recreation or related field or three year’s part-time experience in the recreation field; One year involvement with a youth mentorship program.
