Job Description: Part-Time Scout Leader positions available in locations throughout the Tri-County (Wicomico, Worcester, & Somerset Counties)Area. A Program Specialist is a Cub Scout leader for grades 1 - 5 in an after-school setting. Each program meets one hour a week and Program Specialists can be the Cub Scout leader for more than one after-school site. Hired Program Specialists will be trained to use a 28-week syllabus that includes lessons in character development, sportsmanship, outdoor skills, and family togetherness. The one hour program usually takes place between 3pm and 6pm, depending on the location. The Program Specialist provides an active and imaginative after-school Scouting program recruits parents to act as leaders beside them. Program Specialists need to be self starters, self-motivated, be able to work independently and have a desire for community involvement. Responsibilities: Motivate students to do their best Deliver weekly program as outlined in the syllabus Organize and attend field trips and camp outings Attend monthly leadership meetings Recruit parents to help at meetings and attend trips Recruit new youth to Scouting Lead trips, camp outings, and community service projects Keep a safe environment Follow the Syllabus and report in on accomplishments each week Report to sites in a timely manner prepared for the program Keep constant communication with the parents on upcoming events Enter achievements into online tracking system Complete online Scouting Trainings Complete in person paid Trainings . Job Requirements: Must pass a background check We are currently seeking English and Spanish speaking after school Scout leaders. Compensation: $12 per Scout Meeting. Bonuses available for Field Trips on the weekends, camp outings, and monthly leader meetings. Each program specialist will participate in paid introductory training.
Pay: $12.00/hour & Paid Training and Field Trips
