Organization Description: Move This World (MTW) is a global nonprofit that uses creative movement as a vehicle to transform conflict, violence and bullying in communities. MTW focuses specifically on empowering individuals with the necessary skills to identify emotions within themselves, be empathetic in their interactions with others, and act as change agents in their communities. Our hallmark program is an innovative, evidence-based curriculum that engages students Pre-K-12 in movement-based activities that promote empathy, mediation skills, diversity appreciation, anger management, and conflict transformation. In this way, MTW fosters cumulative skill building that grows with the individual and produces measurable impact. Using MTW's holistic approach, we engage students, families, educators, administrators, and communities with targeted programs that promote social change through the art of movement. Move This World was recently named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, a Youth Leader by the Inter-American Development Bank and awarded a Cordes Fellowship at the Opportunity Collaboration. We are building a movement of intercultural exchange in peacebuilding and violence prevention through dance. Move This World hubs share best practices in conflict transformation and social and emotional learning as part of the global PeaceMover network. Our program is creative, dynamic, completely movement-based and evaluated, and adaptable to specific cultures, communities and contexts. We envision a world where creative movement redefines how we build cultures of peace in schools. We offer: The ability to spend your time on high-impact work that is already defining the future of movement-based peace education A fun, talented team that empowers you and gives you the freedom to be creative and help shape the organization
