RESPONSIBILITIES:MICROS Internship program in cooperation with local colleges and universities are designed to give college students an opportunity to complement their formal education with career-related experience. In order to compete in today professional environment, students often need more than just a college education. MICROS will provide a hands on experience in a degree-related position which would be extremely beneficial for the student in obtaining regular employment after graduation. It would also be beneficial to MICROS and the student if the student chose to return to MICROS after graduation. The following outlines the responsibilities of each participant in the internship program. Students participating in the internship program should be prepared to abide by the following guidelines: 1. Adhere to MICROS Systems work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing staff behavior. 2. Adhere to MICROS Systems ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality. 3. Assume personal and professional responsibility for his/her actions and activities. 4. Maintain professional relationships with the MICROS employees, clients, and customers, both internal and external. 5. Approach MICROS with an open mind and an honest desire for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree - High level of personal motivation and a willingness to learn - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing - Ability to work well on a team - 3.0 GPA or above - Experience with the MS Office Suite of products
Location: Columbia, Maryland. Mid-Atlantic (DE, MD, DC, VA, PA, WV) Desired Class Level(s) : Junior, Senior
Types of Internship Programs: 1. Full-time or part time. 2. Paid or unpaid. 3. Credit or non-credit.
Schedule Structures: 1. Parallel plan- Students attend classes and work scheduled available hours during the day. 2. Evening Plan- Students attend evening classes and work full-time or part-time during the day. 3. Summer plan- Students work full time during summer break.
