Description: Whether you just have a desire to film Africa's fascinating wildlife, or you are aiming for a career in the competitive world of wildlife film making, then this course is for you. Wildlife Film Making-121 is specifically designed to offer practical introduction into the world of wildlife filmmaking, and the work of camera operators, directors, producers, script-writers and the numerous other jobs required to produce and broadcast a successful wildlife documentary. This unique course, developed and instructed by some of Africa's most the passionate and experienced wildlife filmmakers, aims to equip and inspire budding filmmakers with the skills, techniques, and knowledge required to produce a wildlife documentary as well as give you an absolutely unique hands on experiences geared towards allowing you the opportunity to break into this industry.
Specific focus will be placed on the following key elements:
* Pre-production (5 days): Tutorials and workshops to get students up to speed in the field of wildlife filmmaking, learn the equipment, develop a story, and prepare for the filming expedition of a lifetime.
* Production (10 days): Production will be conducted over two consecutive weeks at Schotia Safaris Private Game Reserve, one of the best stocked and diverse malaria free game reserves in southern Africa. Free roaming lions, hippos, crocs and Rhinos are just some of the diverse wildlife that makes this area one of Africa's prime widlife filming and photography locations.
* Post-production (5 days): Tutorial and guidance as you turn your footage into a dynamic and entertaining 3 minute short documentary. A takeaway to testify to your filmmaking ability.
