Project
Vote Smart. Only once every four years do citizens have the right
to pick their favorite candidate for the highest office in the nation,
and with this year's election an open-seat it promises to be one of the
most exciting in history. Project Vote Smart, the organization that U.S.
News and World Report says, "would make the founders weep with joy", is
looking for a few dedicated students to help us make our final push to
inform citizens about the candidates who want to represent them in this
election. Project Vote Smart, is a non-partisan, non-profit
organization, founded by such prominent national leaders as Presidents
Ford and Carter. The Project is dedicated to fighting the deceptive and
manipulative tactics used by many of today's political campaigns by
replacing them with honest, factual information. We are currently
searching for students at to work as National Interns at our research
facility located in the beautiful Montana wilderness. Surrounded by
crystal clear lakes and streams and snow capped mountains, students
receive real world experience by researching legislation, compiling
endorsements from special interest groups, and speaking with candidates
in one of the most beautiful places they will ever see. All students
accepted as National Interns are expected to work ten 40-hour weeks. The
internship is unpaid but all interns will receive free room and board at
our facility through the Barry Goldwater General Scholarship Fund. We
expect our interns to work hard but offer them the opportunity to play
even harder. Along with free room and board, interns are also given
access to the Project's tennis and basketball court, exercise room, row
boats, horses, free wireless internet access, snowmobiles, and some of

SCA is currently recruiting members for the Unilever sponsored National Park
Congressional Internship Program. Each year six student leaders gain
real-world experience through summer immersion in a National Park
complimented by a spring or fall internship in a Congressional
office on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. We currently have openings
for females that are available to start between 6/9/08 and 7/1/08 and
are able to serve for six months. Candidates should have an interest in
resource management, environmental issues and the public policy process.
Benefits include: $400/wk living allowance in Washington D.C. and
$150/wk while serving in the Park, provided housing, 24hr accident and
injury insurance, and career services during and after the internship.

who can work on integration of our internal systems: SMR
Consulting, Inc. has a number of different “Managed Services” that need
to be setup optimally, and integrated with each other. These different
services are: 1. Email filtering using Postini 2. Firewall monitoring
using SonicWALL’s Global Management System 3. System/Network monitoring
using Level Platform’s Managed Workplace 4. Helpdesk/Trouble Ticket
system using ConnectWise PSA (Professional Service Automation). It is
possible to connect these systems together. For example, if the
System/Network monitoring system detects a fault, it can send a ticket
automatically into the ConnectWise trouble ticket system. ConnectWise
can collect statistics from the three other systems to help put together

Internship. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) is the nation's
leading advocate for trails and the only national organization devoted
to converting unused railroad lines to multi-use trails. Rails-to-Trails
Conservancy is dedicated to connecting people and communities by
creating a nationwide network of public trails. With headquarters in
Washington, D.C., with regional offices in California, Florida,
Pennsylvania, Ohio and Massachusetts, RTC is a nonprofit public charity
carrying out a program of technical assistance and public education. RTC
is looking for interns interested in working on environmental and public
policy issues. Interns will provide assistance to the program,
development, communications and the administrative department. Job
assignments will consist of professional and administrative support.
Interns will participate as full-time staff members including attending
staff meetings, retreats and social gatherings. Hours are flexible to

Teacher Internships. The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE)
Pre-Service Teacher (PST) Internship Program provides laboratory
research opportunities to highly motivated pre-service teachers
(undergraduates or graduate students preparing to be teachers). Many of
the nation's premier energy laboratories host the teachers and assign
scientists to mentor them. The program targets a diverse group of
pre-service teachers preparing to teach K-12 science, mathematics, or
technology and provides opportunities for them to do research in a
