Short Biography:

Maida Finch is an associate professor at Salisbury University in the Department of Doctoral Studies in Literacy, where she teaches classes on research methods, and quantitative analysis, and literacy theory.  She is also a PDS liaison to Bennett Middle School.  The topics of her research are diverse including education labor markets, teaching and learning, practitioner research, and education policy development and effects.  Her research has been published in Educational Policy, Leadership and Policy in Schools, and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis.  A former middle school teacher and literacy coach, Maida loves teaching and helping educators think about how to use research and theory to improve their practice.
