Join us as we celebrate the memory of Dr. Ernie Bond at this year's Children's and Young Adult Literature Festival. The event will feature ten authors and illustrators, three discussion panels, and the presentation of the inaugural Sonia Lynn Sadler Diverse Illustrator Award. Inaugural Sonia Lynn Sadler Diverse Illustrator Award

Larkin Book CoverSadler & Johnson Book CoverThis award, to be presented annually at Salisbury University, is named in honor of the illustrator Sonia Lynn Sadler and is sponsored by Jen Cullerton Johnson, whose book, Seeds of Change, was illustrated by Sadler, Dr. Patricia Dean, Teacher Education Department at SU, and Sonia's parents, Wellington and Inez Sadler.

The first winner of the Sadler Diverse Illustrator Award is Eric-Shabazz Larkin for his work in Farmer Will Allen and the Growing Table.
