Participating in clubs are a key part of the student experience at Salisbury University. There are several clubs across the SU campus that students can become involved in. In the Social Work Department, we have two student clubs: the Social Work Student Association and the National Social Work Honor Society - Phi Alpha.
Participating in these clubs are a great way to meet other students and faculty, while also becoming more involved with the larger community.
The Undergraduate Social Work Club was recently renamed the Social Work Student Association. Members take an active role in the leadership of the organization. They work to develop effective and meaningful service and fund-raising activities that benefit the larger community. Its not all work though! Members also find time to participate in fun activities to help foster a strong connection among students. Be on the lookout for announcements in your University e-mail! The advisor is Ms. Eileen Gilheany.
Phi Alpha is the National Social Work Honor Society open to undergraduate and graduate students. Members of Phi Alpha are outstanding students who are also committed to engaging in service activities that benefit the community. Please follow this link to find out more about the application process for membership in Phi Alpha. The Phi Alpha advisor is Dr. Allessia Owens.
