More than 480 members of Salisbury University’s Class of 2014 celebrated their pending graduation during a cookout hosted in their honor at the Alumni House on Tuesday, May 13. The evening air was filled with excitement and nostalgia as the seniors enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs, cookies and music ― and prepared to begin their last week of finals.
SU President Janet Dudley-Eshbach welcomed and congratulated the soon-to-be graduates. Katherine Mooney, former SGA President and May 2014 graduate, asked her fellow classmates to support the Senior Class Gift, which this year goes to a student crisis fund. Over 120 have contributed, to date.
Geico sponsored the celebration. Alumni Relations staff hope it becomes the students’ first of many visits to the Alumni House. As graduates, they join a network of over 42,000 alumni nationwide.
