Perdue School Exectutive Leader Lecture – Thursday, March 2, 2017
Salisbury University alumnus Barry Ziehl, senior vice president of public affairs and strategic initiatives for Warner Bros. Entertainment, returned to his Alma Mater to deliver the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business’ Executive Leader Lecture on Thursday, March 2. Ziehl, a 1991 communication arts major, applauded the extensive growth of the campus, adding that he has never been more proud to don his SU sweatshirt.
Ziehl talked to students about recognizing “crossroads” moments in their lives that allow for their next opportunity: Such moments led him from an internship and early career at the U.S. Postal Service to numerous positions on the West Coast with Warner Bros. He also discussed the importance of hard work and good writing, as well as using their gifts to benefit others. He urged them to harness the power of their youth. After his talk, Ziehl took questions from Perdue Student Business Leaders and the audience.
