Global Business Seminar Held in France
In January, 24 Perdue School students traveled to France with Profs. Gittelman and Hoffman to learn about international accounting and business in its global setting. The Salisbury group was welcomed at Vichy City Hall by the deputy mayor. In addition to classes, the students also benefited from guest lectures at the University of Blaise Pascal and participated in company tours at Carrefour hypermarket and Greentech, a producer of natural ingredients for the cosmetic industry. The group also visited Domaine des Berioles winery, LaPalisse Castle and the city of Clarement-Ferrand, home to Michelin’s world headquarters. This is the 20th year of Perdue School winter programs abroad and the 13th in France. More than 600 students have benefited from this program since its inception.
