Mike Cooper, Work Chosen to Appear In "The Creativity Annual"
SALISBURY, MD--The work of Salisbury State University graphic designer Mike Cooper of the Publications Office has been selected to appear in the national publication, "The Creativity Annual." This year entries submitted to the annual came from 40 states and 40 countries. Cooper's poster for the SSU Theatre production, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," was the winning entry. He has also designed the posters for the current theatre season productions of "Heartbreak House" and "Dracula."
Cooper, who worked as a professional graphic designer before coming to SSU, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, one of the top five art schools in the nation. He went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts in painting from American University. His paintings were recently in two exhibits at the Rehoboth Art League, the first a popular resort event held in August, and, most recently, in a new show focusing on color. He began working at SSU in January. He lives in West Ocean City.
