Thomas Presents at Center for Nonprofit Success Summit
SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Rosemary M. Thomas, vice president of advancement at Salisbury University and executive director of the Salisbury University Foundation, Inc., recently was a guest speaker at the Center for Nonprofit Success’ 2010 D.C. Fundraising Summit.
Under her leadership, SU was one of 30 higher education institutions nationwide to receive the CASE-WealthEngine Award for Overall Improvement of superior fundraising programs, which represented only 3 percent of eligible campuses.
Thomas is the ACT state representative for Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Delmarva Planned Giving Council and the Association of Fund Raising Professionals.
Holding a firm belief that public service is not an option but a responsibility, she is active with community, state and national clubs and organizations such as the American Cancer Society and its Relay For Life, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the American Legion Auxiliary’s Girls State, as well as Girls Nation.
In 2008, she was named one of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women.”
