ShoreCorps/PALS Hosts Reuse-A-Shoe Drive

ShoreCorps/PALS Reuse-A-Shoe Drive

SALISBURY, MD---Members of ShoreCorps/PALS (Partnership for Adolescents on the Lower Shore), the AmeriCorps program at Salisbury University, host a local Reuse-A-Shoe Drive.

The event benefits local charities and provides a new way of dealing with the old sneakers hiding in closets. Collection boxes for those wishing to drop off old shoes are available at the Salisbury Zoological Park Education Center (east entrance), James M. Bennett Middle School, the SU Camden House (across the street from the Commons), Maggs Gym, the University Fitness Club (201 Milford St.), Crown Sports Center in Fruitland, the Delmarva Discovery Center (2 Market St.) in Pocomoke City and the Dorchester County Family YMCA in Cambridge. Collection continues through Tuesday, July 31.

Sneakers also will collected at select local events, and additional drop-off locations are pending. For more information call ShoreCorps/PALS member Jessica Beebe at 757-894-8027 or
