Home to more than 8,700 students from around the world, Salisbury University has a reputation for excellence in public higher education.

  • With 43 undergraduate majors and 17 graduate programs, a creative curriculum emphasizes research, study abroad, internships and civic engagement.
  • A new College of Health and Human Services launches this fall. Nursing students consistently have the state’s highest licensure pass rates and respiratory therapy produces the most baccalaureate graduates in the country.
  • The Perdue School of Business has funded student innovators for over three decades. Some $300,000 is awarded annually to business startups; part of a recent $5.5 million gift will support a new Center for Entrepreneurship.
  • SU’s impact on the Eastern Shore economy is nearly a half a billion dollars annually. The campus, a regional cultural center, is home to two NPR affiliates, the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art.
  • Students and faculty are Fulbright winners; education graduates regularly are Teachers of the Year. Other alumni leaders include the Perdue Farms chairman, Atlanta Falcons head coach, “Fearless Girl” sculptor, and Warner Bros. and J.P.Morgan executives.
  • SU has opened over $350 million in new facilities in recent years, including the award-winning Guerrieri Academic Commons and a stadium for its national championship teams.

SU is consistently ranked as one of the nation’s best in quality and value by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review, Kiplinger’s and others.  To learn more about SU, and receive an electronic copy of the Re:Search Magazine, email publicrelations@salisbury.edu
