January 30 Dr. Janet Dudley-Eshbach, President of Salisbury University will speak about Salisbury University, where it has been and where it is going.
February 6 Dawn Veatch, Manager of the Salisbury-Wicomico Regional Airport will provide an update on what’s happening at the airport.
February 13 Bill Reddish, District representative for Congressman Andy Harris will provide an update on US Congress activities.
February 20 Bill Chambers, CEO of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce will speak on the outlook for Salisbury and Wicomico County.
February 27 Andy Nunez, author of several books about the eastern shore, will speak about his most recent book, “Ghosts on the Eastern Shore”. His books will be available and the author will do a book signing.
March 13 A representative from Perdue Farms will speak about the impact of Perdue on the economy of the eastern shore.
March 20 Dr. Creston Long, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Nabb Research Center at Salisbury University, will present, “Revolution and Revelation” about Alexander Hamilton in history and memory.
March 27 Patrick Rofe, Executive Director of Furnace Town, will speak about the historical significance of Furnace Town.
April 3 Dr. Martin Preboom, will speak about “World War II on Film”.
April 10 Tom Horton will speak on “Environmental Matters”.
April 17 Delegate Chris Adams, Representative of District 37B, will provide a wrap-up of the 2018 Maryland legislative session.
April 24 Eleanor Mulligan will speak on “The White House—What a Tale it Tells” a visual presentation that follows the progress of the building as First Ladies kept pace with the necessary entertaining, diplomacy and public curiosity about décor.
May 1 Bryce Stump, author and journalist, will speak on “Working Skipjacks on Deal Island”. His book will be available and the author will do a book signing.
May 8 The spring luncheon will be held at Salisbury University, in the Worcester Room from
11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The cost of the luncheon is $25 per person and payment must be received by May 1. Please note that you will need a parking pass for on-campus parking. Entertainment for the luncheon will be announced at a later time. Please contact IRP President Tom Matey if you have special dietary requirements.
