INFO 476 3D Printing
The Light Sleeper was a project designed for INFO 476 with Professor Burke. The objective was to create a product that would require me to learn a new set of technical skills. I chose to create the Light Sleeper because it required me to learn how to use a 3D printer, circuitry, and Arduino Uno coding. The point of the product was to target customers who struggle to sleep with lights on in their bedrooms, specifically an alarm clock. The Light Sleeper uses a photoresistor to detect light in the room. If a light is on the LCD screen will display the time, and when the lights in your room go off, so does the LCD screen. I spent a 100 hours of studying code, circuitry, and countless hours designing/printing the case. This was just my prototype and I hope to be able to add more technical aspects to make it more accessible to costumers in the future. - Zachary Towns
