The Interdisciplinary Studies – Individual Track major allows students to create a major by combining 2-3 academic disciplines. The following disciplines are some of just many possibilities to combine within an IDIS proposal:
In addition to these specific disciplines, students have also combined courses in these disciplines to focus on areas such as Business and Professional Writing, Creative Arts, Comparative Literature, Earth Science, Environmental/Land-Use Planning, Ethnic and Intercultural Studies, International Studies, Religious Studies, Social Studies and much more.
*Education, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and most Social Work courses may only be used if transferring from one of these majors. Once a declared Interdisciplinary Studies major, students cannot enroll in courses that require entrance to the professional program.
