Employee Recognition Program

Employees of the Month

February 2016
Lola Andrews
Lola Andrews
Food Service Aide I
Dining Services
Lola was nominated by a staff member for her dependability, positivity and immense pride in her work. The nomination states, “No matter how much work she’s facing or how much pressure she’s under, you never hear her complain. She keeps the dish room and pot and pan room running smoothly no matter how shorthanded they may be.” A letter of support from management states, “Not only has Lola had for many years impeccable attendance, sometimes never missing a day through the entire semester, but Lola always manages to make it into work during bad weather when school is closed. She understands that we are required to feed our students, and that even though her job may double because of call outs, she has an unmatched determination to get here because she is depended on. Another extraordinary aspect of Ms. Lola, is her ability to instinctively approach, understand, form a rapport and motivate the team she leads to achieve maximum output. Over the years, Lola has had to perform her duties with 3 completely different dishwashing systems, all with different methods of operation, dismantling and cleaning. Her ability to adjust is remarkable.” In closing, the letter of support states, “Employee of the Month should be the least that happens to such a dependable, special and valuable individual such as Ms. Lola Mae Andrews.”
