Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Disability Resource Center.
Primary Job Duties: Provide administrative support to the Disability Resource Center and the Counseling Center. Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and interact with students, parents, faculty and staff involving routine, sensitive and emergency situations. Provide information including registration process with Office of Student Disability Support Services and the Counseling Center. Receive confidential medical and psychological documentation from students and create electronic file. Maintain student data spreadsheets, aid students with assistive technologies, and assist the Director in preparing reports such as satisfaction survey and service utilization summaries, e.g. create graphs, charts. Create and/or maintain records and processes related to budget, purchasing, travel, event services, facilities reservations and student worker contracts. Assist with the scheduling and administration of testing accommodations.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and three years’ experience providing administrative support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a medical, counseling or disability service related office or environment is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Ability to interact with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Skills in various computer software packages such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation programs, internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions. Abide by relevant laws pertaining to confidentiality.
This is a full-time, non-exempt State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $35,728 annually which is approximately $17.13 per hour.
