Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Program Specialist – Provost Office.
Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, independently coordinates the operational tasks involved in the day to day administrative support of the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; one year experience in administrative staff work in which program coordination in a related field was a primary responsibility; proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Cascade.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: General knowledge of business English, spelling, and grammar. Skill in performing basic mathematical computations. Effective techniques in collecting, compiling, and organizing information. Proficient in the use of technology. Knowledge of office procedures and efficient workflow. Knowledge of and experience in higher education. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact and discretion. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to train, supervise, and evaluate personnel.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary range minimum is $35,728 annually, which is approximately $17.13 per hour.
