Bio

Heather Diehl earned her MSW from California State University, Northridge and her BA from Goucher College, where she majored in English and Creative Writing. Her clinical social work specialty is end-of-life care. Heather teaches across the social work curriculum in the School of Social Work including: Human Behavior, Social Welfare Policy & Advocacy, Practice with Individuals and Groups, and Children and Families. Heather has many years of experience working with military-connected students. Her research interests include the challenges of dual careers in military-connected households, the needs and challenges of student veterans, and the challenges of aging and access to end-of-life care in rural communities.

Heather volunteers within the military-connected community as an education and career mentor to spouses.
