» Social Justice, Diversity & Inclusion in 2018 & Beyond

The dynamics of diversity and inclusion continue to evolve and change. Numerous local, national and global incidents have forced institutions to review, improve and update training, policies and procedures. Being able to engage content issues effectively is critical to ensure the success and satisfaction of ALL students, regardless of difference. From Brown vs. Board of Education (over 60 years ago) to Black Lives Matter, DACA and other current student demands – it’s now about so much more than demographics. Microaggressions, white privilege, gender and gender identity, collusion (bystander behavior) are issues presented, often simultaneously, that demand our thoughtful response.

Join us on March 14, 2018 and in just 90 minutes, you and your staff will hear from expert presenter Rev. Sam Offer - Vice President and Senior Consultant with the Washington Consulting Group – on the ever-changing context that affects the success of your work. You’ll examine the five components of context and understand why it is necessary to evaluate context before content in all of the work you do with students and colleagues.

Effectively engage the content matter presented so you can address the current diversity dynamics on your campus and create an inclusive community for all.

Panelists:

Rev.
