Frequently Asked Questions about Screening

  • If I’m a faculty or staff member teleworking, do I need to check in with the app every assigned work day?
    Yes, all faculty and staff who are working remotely or on campus should check in via the screening app daily.

  • If I fail screening what do I do?
    Flow charts with specifics about screening and testing protocols are available on SU’s COVID-19 Testing website.  
  • If I’m off on vacation or out sick for other than COVID-19, do I have to check in?  What if the campus is closed due to the weather? 
    You do not have to check in if you are out on any approved University leave and you are not coming to campus.  If you are working remotely or working on campus, you need to check in. See instructions above.      
  • What if I don’t have Internet or a mobile device? Where do I check in?
    Faculty and staff (or students) without access to mobile devices should complete in-person screening daily before coming to campus. See current list below. 
  • Where can I be screened in-person?
    Screening locations are available at:
    • University Police Dispatch: 24/7
    • Maintenance Building Room 111: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
    • Holloway Hall main entrance: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Can campus visitors or parents use the app?
    No, the SU Mobile app is for faculty, staff and students with SU accounts only.  Any visitors invited to campus must go through the University’s in-person screening process and receive a visitor pass.  Times and locations are listed above. Certain departments also have been trained and approved to conduct visitor screenings. For more information, contact the Office of Sustainability and Environmental Safety.   
  • If I am called into work on campus after reporting that I would not be on campus, what do I do?
    You should check in at an in-person screening location if you are unable to fully complete and pass the screening via the app for any reason. 
  • How do I download the app?
    The SU Mobile App can be obtained from the following locations:

         Instructions for Apple
    • In the Apple App Store, search for "Salisbury University Mobile" and install the app.
    • Open the SU Mobile app
    • Click “Take today’s required health self-assessment”
    • Authenticate using your SU username and password. Note: You may be asked to approve the DUO push notification.
    • Once authenticated answer the screening questions and press submit
    • Based on your response, a “Cleared to Enter” or “Entry Denied” badge is presented for that day.  This can be displayed as needed by re-opening the app and pressing the button on the landing page that displays the screening outcome.
    • The survey will reset each day at midnight. 
    • Note: The survey cannot be taken twice in the same day if it has already been completed.
