All information concerning student disabilities and accommodation is kept separately from student academic records. This information is confidential and will not be released to a third party without the written permission of the student, except in circumstances involving matters of health, safety, and law. Generally, faculty have a right to know that a student requesting accommodations in their course has a documented disability and which accommodations have been approved by the DRC. However, specific information regarding a student’s disability may be provided on a “need to know basis” only.
